Seminar and the National IHRO Women’s Empowerment Award 2020 ceremony was organised by the International Human Rights Organisation on the occasion of International women’s Day , hosted by Ms. Sakshi Daksh , Ms. Seema Pathak, and Ms. Vineeka at Indian International Center, New Delhi on March 8,2020. The theme of Which was:- Empowered women: Empowered nation- Equality for all.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr.Lakhmi Chand Gautam, Under Secretary, Minister of Women and child Development, Government of India lightening the lamp.In his address, he said that only through sexual justice, full empowerment of women is possible and 33% reservation pending in Lok Sabha and Rajya sabha should be ensured . President of the International Human Rights Organisation, Dr.Nem Singh Premi emphasized on women’s education for Women’s Empowerment.
In the function, women working in various fields like education, medicine, journalism, sports,law, fashion, literature, arts and culture, science, social work, business etc i.e. Ms.Ira Singhal, Ms. Aarushi Pokhriyal Nishank ( Sparsh Ganga), Ms.Neeleshwari Basak, Ms.Paridhi Sharma,Ms.Leher sethi, Ms.Gunjan Gaur, Dr.Sumita Das, Ms.Tasso Lily Kago, Ms.Kakoli Tamoli Chaudhary, Ms.Sangeeta S.Bahl, Dr.Rekha Thakur, Dr.Pratibha Singh, Ms. Sonali Sharma were honored.
Mr. M.k Chandra, District officer, Deptt of women and child Development, Government of Delhi highlighted the Act and measures made by the Government prevent sexual Harassment of women at the workplace.
Shri Gaurav Gupta, president- Rajasthani Academy, Dr. M.K. Vajpayee, vice – Chairman, International Human Rights’s Organization, Sh. Girish Chandra Kabdwal etc also expressed thier views on the related issue. Women members of the organisation from the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana ,Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal participated in the Program.
