Womennovator (Gvriksh) in association with India Talent Treasure Trust® organised WE-Pitch, Aligarh
at Frank and Debbie Islam Entrepreneurship Incubation Centre, Department
of Business Administration, AMU, Aligarh supported by Development commissioner of Ministry of
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Around 45 women including entrepreneurs (startups, micro,
small, medium enterprises), professionals/leaders and social activists participated and pitched about
their work.
This Elevator Pitch Series is one of the major initiatives by Womennovator in which the Entrepreneurs,
Leaders, and Founders are given 60 seconds to explain the concept and idea of a service or product to
a set of jury members. As a result of which the selected pitches offered a bundle of technical and nontechnical advantages for the growth and scaling of the company or an idea.
This event was organised by Ms. Shahwar Shohrat, Star Influencer of Womennovator, Aligarh and
Founder Director India Talent Treasure Trust and Ms. Tripti Shinghal Somani, Founder –
Womennovator, MD – KGS advisors.

Ms. Shahwar Shohrat shared that about the 3 % mandatory procurement policy for PSUs and
Government Department for Micro and Small and Medium enterprises owned by women which was
proposed by Womennovator. During the WE-Pitch attendees were made aware of other govt. and
financial institutions support schemes for women.
Ms. Shahwar Shohrat also introduced and thank her regional core team members for their support in
organising the We-Pitch Aligarh. The core team members include – Ms. Sajida Nadeem, Ms. Talat
Jawed, Ms. Shaguta Abidi, Ms. Ruhi Saxena, Ms. Rubina Ali, Ms. Adeeb Aijaz, Ms. Maryam Haider Zaidi,
and Ms. Soofia Javed. The contribution of Dr. Lamay Bin Sabir, Dr. Zareen Husain Farooq and Dr.
Ahmed Faraz Khan of Business Administration Department is also commended by Ms. Shahwar
Shohrat to make this event successful.
The twelve winners under four categories were announced after the jury evaluated the participants
