Seminar and the National IHRO Women’s Empowerment Award 2020 ceremony was organised by the International Human Rights Organisation on the occasion of International women’s Day , hosted by Ms. Sakshi Daksh , Ms. Seema Pathak, and Ms. Vineeka at Indian International Center, New Delhi on March 8,2020. The theme of Which was:- Empowered women: Empowered nation- Equality for all.

The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr.Lakhmi Chand Gautam, Under Secretary, Minister of Women and child Development, Government of India lightening the lamp.In his address, he said that only through sexual justice, full empowerment of women is possible and 33% reservation pending in Lok Sabha and Rajya sabha should be ensured . President of the International Human Rights Organisation, Dr.Nem Singh Premi emphasized on women’s education for Women’s Empowerment.

In the function, women working in various fields like education, medicine, journalism, sports,law, fashion, literature, arts and culture, science, social work, business etc i.e. Ms.Ira Singhal, Ms. Aarushi Pokhriyal Nishank ( Sparsh Ganga), Ms.Neeleshwari Basak, Ms.Paridhi Sharma,Ms.Leher sethi, Ms.Gunjan Gaur, Dr.Sumita Das, Ms.Tasso Lily Kago, Ms.Kakoli Tamoli Chaudhary, Ms.Sangeeta S.Bahl, Dr.Rekha Thakur, Dr.Pratibha Singh, Ms. Sonali Sharma were honored.

Mr. M.k Chandra, District officer, Deptt of women and child Development, Government of Delhi highlighted the Act and measures made by the Government prevent sexual Harassment of women at the workplace.
Shri Gaurav Gupta, president- Rajasthani Academy, Dr. M.K. Vajpayee, vice – Chairman, International Human Rights’s Organization, Sh. Girish Chandra Kabdwal etc also expressed thier views on the related issue. Women members of the organisation from the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana ,Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal participated in the Program.

New Delhi: Inspired by Honorable Prime Minister’s initiative #SheInspiresUs and as a tribute to its women employees of the organization, GAIL (India) Ltd. celebrated Women’s Day with its “What’s Your Avatar” initiative within the organization.

New Delhi: Management Education and Research Institute, affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and Maharshi Dayanand University commenced its two-day annual cultural fest, La Kermesse’ 2020 on March 5, 2020. The theme for the event this year is Helping Hands, in collaboration with Chhanv Foundation, working for acid attack survivors and Yes+Life, working for cancer survivors. Shri. I.P. Aggarwal, President, MERI Group of Institutions and Prof. Lalit Aggarwal, Vice-President, MERI Group of Institutions announced that MERI Group of Institutions will provide free education for acid attack survivors, in the inaugural.

The highlight of the inaugural session became its unique theme and the motivating stories of Ms. Ritu and Ms. Vimla from Chhanv Foundation, wherein they shared their journey from being an acid attack victim to a survivor, leading a successful and independent life. Furthermore, Dr. Neeti Chhabra from Yes+Life Foundation shared her life story of being detected with breast cancer at an early age of 31 years, surviving through it and is now helping people having similar experiences by spreading awareness and providing monetary assistance.

The programme ended with the School Anthem and the National Anthem. The function was grand success with an astounding visual treat that enthralled every spectator present.

SHUBHAM JAGLAN, 15-year young golfer is probably the most talented sports star that our country has right now. He hails from a small village in Haryana. He belongs to a family where his father and forefather all were wrestlers. He began his golfing journey when he was just 5.

His journey to become top junior of the world has not been too smooth from there onwards. Because of insufficient funding the nri owner closed the academy. Any other kid would have stopped his/her dream right there. But Shubham did’nt. He continued playing with the sticks in the mustard field his family owns. Jagpal Jaglan father of Shubham played a big part in his journey. He laid grass over the backyard of his house and later on mats too to make sure he can putt there as well.

As there was no one to guide his game he used to watch youtube videos and try learning each and every aspect of the game. Once while playing in a tournament he met the person who shaped the dream of the golfer. Seeing his enormous talent Amit Luthra (Gold medalist Asian games) founder of “The Golf Foundation” invited him to Delhi to train in his golf academy. He along with his coach Nonita Lal Quereshi played the most important part of his career so far.

In Shubham’s own words “She has molded me into a real sportsman, She has induced the trait of a real champion, She helped me to focus on the process”. As far Today He has won more than 180 tournaments globally. He’s won four world junior events till now and two European championships for his age group, one of those he claimed in Scotland last year by nine shots. His recent win came in IGU amateur tour where he made a comeback win after recovering from a career-threatening injury he sustained last July.

Now, Shubham is playing Men’s Tournament (IGU Samarvir Shahi Championship) in Chandigarh Golf Club to qualify for World Cup & Asia Pacific. He will definitely win this tournament and surely qualify for the selection.
